Throughout the story of the people of God, brave and faithful, everyday people said yes to God. In Advent, these yeses are even more significant.
What does it take to get to yes? Why does it matter? Why does it matter that we believe this? This is a story that we tell, that isn’t just on a page or in ancient tales, but one that lives in our bones, and calls to us to say our own yes when we are called into what God is doing now. Join us this Advent season while we take a look at the Power of Yes.

Advent is a great time to set apart a little time each day for reading and reflecting on the stories in this season, of which there are many. Our theme this Advent is “The Power of Yes!” Each week, we’ll focus on a different yes that was spoken by someone in the Christmas Story, and how each yes made a difference. Could God have used other people? Yes. They all had a choice. They all could have said no, but they said yes, and their yes had power. So does yours.

The Devotional has day by day suggestions and activities to help us focus on the meaning of this season of anticipation.

December 11  North Pole Village - CRRC’s beloved, family-friendly holiday event where children can meet Santa, enjoy festive activities, and take home free treats—at no cost to attending children. (Adults pay an entrance fee of $5/night)

Thousands of people attend North Pole Village each year, and the Grinch Jailhouse adds a fun, community-driven way to raise funds that directly support CRRC programs.

“Good Gift” Tree 
ELCA Good Gifts are a creative, meaningful way to support the ministries of the ELCA that mean the most to you and your loved ones. These gifts, such as honey bees and school supplies, are real examples from projects currently supported through ELCA churchwide ministries. The tree is located in the Narthex with cards of the different gifts available. You may give in honor or memory of a loved one.
