The Vision team is taking a look at data and trends, both internally within the church and also through the lens of our bigger community in Comal County and beyond.
They are identifying our key needs, perceptions, trends, and strengths by reviewing annual reports, our ministry site profile, and input from our last two congregational exercises. The committee met with the church council on April 12 and discussed this information. We are encouraged to see numbers trending up. We continue to have a very large geographic area where our current members live, providing both challenges and opportunities.
The team is also identified the demographic trends, perception, and needs of the community at large, studying how our area is changing, our unique, diverse, and geographically large community, and how we fit in it. The team met with other local organizations to learn about their missions and experiences, and how they might see other needs in the area filled. Again, we are located in a very diverse and large area, providing challenges and opportunities to serve.
The last movement for the team will be to bring together all the clues idendified in our identity, contexts, and community, and prayerfully bring them together in light of St. Andrew's mission and purpose to identify a vision for our future.
